Letting someone into your home is a big deal. We treat it that way.
Professionals are screened through Checkr, an accredited consumer reporting agency, before they can accept work. Eligibility is re-checked periodically.
All card data is handled by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 provider. GAWD never stores your card number, and payouts run through Stripe Connect.
Every account is confirmed with a one-time code sent to the email address entered at registration. Codes expire after 10 minutes.
Live location is used to match nearby jobs and is only shared while a job is active. You can turn location sharing off at any time.
Every job carries a status you can see — pending, accepted, in progress, completed or cancelled — with a receipt for anything paid.
Full and partial refunds are supported directly in the platform, and our team reviews disputes on both sides of a job.
We send transactional email only — messages triggered by something you did. We do not send marketing email, and we never buy, rent or import mailing lists.
Every message below is sent to a single recipient in direct response to an action they took in the GAWD mobile app. GAWD is a native iOS and Android product; this website is informational and does not itself collect signups.

When you create an account we collect your name, email address and, optionally, a phone number and profile photo. Professionals additionally provide the skills and service categories they work in, and the information required to run a background check and receive payouts.
To match you with nearby jobs we collect location data from your device. Live location sharing is off by default, is used only while a job is active, and can be disabled at any time in your settings. We also record job history, payment records and device tokens used to deliver push notifications.
We share only what is necessary with the providers that operate parts of our service: Stripe for payments and payouts, Checkr for background screening, and Amazon Web Services for hosting and email delivery. Customers and professionals matched on a job see each other's first name, rating and the information needed to complete that job. We do not sell personal information.

We retain job, payment and tax records for as long as required by law, and delete other personal data when an account is closed. Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored hashed and never in plain text, and access to production systems is restricted to authorised staff.
